Vladimirs Scerbickis
Vladimirs Scerbickis, resident of Auromodel, husband of Rita, passed away on September 15th due to cardiac arrest. He was 77 years old.
Vladmimirs, a national of Latvia, visited Auroville for the first time in 1992. He became Aurovilian in 1993. He led a simple and modest life and practised meditation and pranayama at home.
A pilot by profession, he worked with Aeroflot until 1990. In Auroville, given his expertise with electronic devices, he gave mechanical and technical support to the smooth functioning of machines at the Auroville Dental Centre under the guidance of Jacques.
He was a resident of Auromodele with his wife for 36 years. The couple received deep kindness and generosity from Jana, at Akashwa, in the initial stages of their life in Auroville.
Vladimir became seriously ill in the past year due to complications with high blood sugar and heart problem.
The cremation took place on Thursday, 17.09, at 4:30pm at the Auroville Cremation Ground.
