Arati I & II

In the beginning of the year 1996, this housing project in the Residential Zone of Auroville was started with 6 row houses, designed by Helmut (Grace) and built by Sumark.
In the spring of the year 2001, it was followed by 16 apartments (Arati II) designed by Rolf / Sumark, of which 6 are already occupied, while the others as well as a Vehicle Storeroom are still under construction.

These apartments, available on ground-floor and first floor have a total plinth beam area of 109,3 sqm., carpet area of 77,1 sqm.; they consist of two bedrooms, living room, bathroom and kitchen as well as a front and back terrace. The ground-floor apartments have additional front and back small gardens. There are apartments still available and the approximate completion time for the whole project will be summer 2005.

Arati I and II are connected to the Residential Zone Watersystem for drinking water supply as well as to the Wastewater Treatment System (in Invocation), which enables residents to water their gardens with recycled waste water.
