Arati I & II
In the beginning of the year 1996, this housing
project in the Residential Zone of Auroville was started with 6
row houses, designed by Helmut (Grace)
and built by Sumark.
In the spring of the year 2001, it was followed by 16 apartments
(Arati II) designed by Rolf / Sumark, of
which 6 are already occupied, while the others as well as a Vehicle
Storeroom are still under construction.
These
apartments, available on ground-floor and first floor have a
total plinth beam area of 109,3 sqm., carpet area of 77,1 sqm.;
they consist of two bedrooms, living room, bathroom and kitchen
as well as a front and back terrace. The ground-floor apartments
have additional front and back small gardens. There are apartments
still available and the approximate completion time for the whole
project will be summer 2005.
Arati I and II are connected to the Residential
Zone Watersystem for drinking water supply as well as to the Wastewater
Treatment System (in Invocation), which enables residents to water
their gardens with recycled waste water.

Invocation & Sadaca
Invocation was started
in the beginning of the year 1996 in the Residential Zone of Auroville
with the construction of an apartment block of 14 apartments, along
with the necessary infrastructure of the Residential Zone Watersystem,
a Waste Water Treatment Plant together with a Vehicle Storeroom.
In May 2003, the construction of the Sadaca
apartment-building was started. It is like the buildings in Invocation
designed by Rolf/Sumark, located on the west
side of the inhabited apartment block in Invocation, and comprising
9 studios with common facilities in the basement. The studios have
a plinth beam area of 57,7 sqm., carpet area of 38,9 sqm. with terraces
surrounding them on the sides.
The approximate completion time will be summer
2005 and the studios can already be booked.
