Auronet's crisis team
Some of the Auronet team members in charge of
maintaining the Auronet mail servers, daily (read: nightly) have
their hands full with enabling the almost 900 eager Auroville users
to access their mail that comes in, and goes out, via a good set
of high-speed connection modems.
And what with the general infrastructure conditions
in India's hot season, the frequent power cuts, power fluctuations
etc, the team is doing a tough job and keeps us going. Here's a
BIG BRAVO to Bobby (Gujarat, India), Lena
(Ukraine) and Sukhamuni (Belgium) who recently depicted
on Auroville's local Intranet some moments of their plight in response
to some grumbling users..

First - meeting over lunch with Ulli to make sure that we all agreed
on the way of doing things...

we looked @ the problem...

problem looked messy....

Bobby was puzzled...

linuxconf...? startx...? back up...?

midnight oil

"NO!!! I told you ...
not the blue one ...
but the white one ... !!!!!"

who said computer work was not *$!*@* sweaty...?

... and dirty?

snake charmed modem cables...

we had to get close and personal... with the modems and phone lines...

the man or the machine? who wins... ?
the server? the bobby... ?

4.30 a.m. on Sunday 21st of April
... IT WORKS ...!!!

when AV was peacefully sleeping, the Auronet crew was WIDE awake...
"Auronet never sleeps"...who...said that..!????
PS
... - i.e. all
that we REALLY mean, but won't write...
