• Auroville's CSR conducts applied research in a variety of areas, ranging from farming to architecture.

Volunteers Needed:
To assist in the Environment Exhibition project.

2. Work Description

Join the Environment Exhibition project at Visitors Centre

Goal :

The core objective of this project is EDUCATION through the medium of a permanent exhibition that powerfully showcases the viability of sustainable approaches to development today. To this end this project will create and install an environmental exhibition featuring all the crucial milestones achieved in the fields of sustainable development in Auroville. Exhibits will showcase examples from our successful experiments in Farming, Water, Energy, Land, Town planning and Transportation.

Activities :

Showcase successful experiments in farming, water, energy, land, transportation, etc.

Design and implement visuals and educational devices for demonstration to the public

Skills Required (not all is required)

Space installations, interactive exhibition know-how, exhibition technology

• Communication skills: blog writing, Wikipedia, etc.

• Graphic design

• Social work, adults training, Self Help group

• Educational creativity

• Architectural displays

• Good capacities for teamwork

3. Time Frame : Oct. 2009 onward

Duration : 2 to 3 months
