This video documents a difficult moment in the history of Auroville: young Aurovilian Sydo had witnessed the aggression of some thieves to his neighbour in the Ubuntu forest settlement in  Auroville and for this simple reason he was attacked during the night on his way back home by a village band and murdered.
Aurovilians' reaction, in the shock of the moment, was to immediately organize a peace and unity march through the villages in the vicinity of Auroville to re-establish the principles and the ideals that guide us here.
All Auroville nationalities were present in the march, included Tamil Aurovilians and residents in the same villages.
It was the 8th of February 2004.
