"LA LOBA exists ... because she risks"
It is my – ETUDE – study which began with Jola Cynkutis amongst the Haampi fields. Later on, guided and directed by Jairo and continuous performances since then; it is our 54 th performance in 7 years.
It is to be seen and analyzed at the sub-conscious level, a dream state. It is not a linear performance, nor schematic in outlook. Action is the personage; or in other words, the personage lives because of its actions; in this sense, what interests us is “laboratory” -a space to experiment the essence of what signifies for us theater in these contemporary times.
This work has given birth to my internal scream. Thanks to my perseverance to continue this art of theatre, the transformative and mutative elements are activated and that gives license to articulate feudal customs: of dominating women: that she has no rights, as the text reveals, “At the age of seven, when all lies are true …” And the religious aspect, touched minimally in a form reverent to me. La Loba exists because she risks.
